As Virtuagym keeps on growing, we are now looking for a new face to complement our Operations and Marketing teams. As Marketing Automation Specialist, you will be responsible for managing the marketing tool stack, starting from our CRM, fully leveraging its capabilities and always improving it with new and interesting tools. This is a remote position (based on a Central European time zone), where you will be working for our Amsterdam office. We are looking for a full-time employee. We are a remote-friendly company, meaning you can work from your home at all times. Additionally, you can work from any location you want within Europe up to 4 weeks at a time for a maximum of 12 weeks in a year.

What this role looks like

You understand how to work with data and create compelling, insight-driven visualizations that enable you and the team to fully grasp the performance across multiple marketing metrics.

Working closely with other marketing specialists, designers, developers, and project managers, this role will implement programmatic and operational data-driven initiatives through the marketing automation platform, with the goal of optimizing processes and improving specific business KPIs.

Job requirements

Some of your key tasks as Marketing Automation Specialist

  • CRM lead: Maintain Marketing Automation integration with CRM and assist in the integration of additional platforms into the marketing automation software.

  • Automations & Email: Manage marketing automation efforts and processes, proactively researching and implementing the latest best practices, strategies, and industry standards. Responsible for email marketing program development and execution, including segmentation, testing, and deployment, and continually evaluate these for improvements.

  • Reporting & dashboards: Understand and evaluate marketing metrics in order to build powerful and easy to read data visualizations to help the team better understand its performance. Work with management to define KPIs, analyze performance and create recommendations to improve KPIs continuously.

  • Marketing funnel: Own and optimize the total funnel, conduct regular analysis to identify inefficient segments of the funnel, find opportunities, run experiments that drive growth.

  • Tooling: Scouting new platforms to improve distribution and processes and respond to complex issues, avoiding internal tool fragmentation and making sure every platform integrates with every other one.


What you will bring to the team

  • At least 2 years of experience in marketing automation, growth or analytics roles.

  • Working experience in managing a marketing CRM (bonus points if you’ve used Salesforce Marketing Cloud).

  • Experience with Google Tag Manager, A/B testing (ex. VWO or Google Optimize), Analytics (ex. Google Analytics, Hotjar), User testing (Usabilityhub, surveys), form building.

  • Data-savvy, with an ability to read, interpret and manipulate complex data sets.

  • Ability to make a basic analysis in Excel or Google Sheets.

  • Must have superior English communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a sense of urgency.

  • Strong independent project management skills.

  • Capable of handling multiple tasks with competing priorities under minimal supervision.

  • Solution-oriented and you have a hands-on mentality.

  • Able to think critically and exercise independent judgment and discretion.

  • Excellent attention to detail.


Bonus points for:

  • Knowledge of database management concepts and best practices.

  • Working knowledge of Salesforce.com and Marketing Cloud.

  • SQL or other programming languages.

The hiring process
