CMO/CCO - VP of Marketing & Sales

Job description

Virtuagym is looking for a high-energy, growth-minded CMO/CCO who can build the  marketing/sales vision, strategy and execution to a “best of breed” organisation.

You are responsible for overseeing the planning, development and execution of the organisation's marketing and sales strategy. Reporting directly to the chief executive officer, your primary responsibility is to generate revenue through successful and effective marketing and sales tactics.

You will be part of the the Management Board together with the CEO’s, CFO and CTO/COO.

What does the role look like?

The CMO/CCO will manage both the marketing and sales organization. These departments consists of transactional sales, enterprise sales and marketing which all have a dedicated manager. You will lead, mentor, manage and be a part of these teams that guide and direct the vision of the business.
The domains of our CMO/CCO would be focussed on:

Building a strong demand funnel which is highly tech driven

Build customer lifecycle blueprint for organization

Implement best of breed Sales and Marketing tactics.  


Responsibilities

  • Leverage your expertise to help position the company for sustained growth
  • Aligns the sales organisation’s objectives with firm business strategy through active participation in corporate strategic planning, sales strategy development, forecasting, sales resource planning, and budgeting.
  • Plan and organize marketing functions and operations (product development, branding, communications etc.), and ensure they project the company’s unique “voice”
  • Build a highly efficient team of marketing and sales professionals
  • Create a solid network of strategic partnerships
  • Understand fully how customers are changing and become involved in developing new marketing capabilities across the company
  • Managing the proliferation of distribution touch points
  • Manage the performance of both the digital- as well as the sales funnel and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs)

Requirements

Requirements

  • A 5+ year track record of growth, success building and leading a diverse, strategic marketing organisation across multiple channels in an international environment
  • Including 2+ years experience as chief marketing officer, chief commercial officer or similar role
  • Demonstrable experience within the SaaS industry
  • Solid understanding of marketing techniques over digital (e.g. paid campaigns, SEO etc) and non-digital (e.g. press, print, events) channels
  • Demonstrated ability to develop staff, with experience motivating, directing and mentoring a team of dynamic professionals.
  • Experience in developing efficient strategies and business plans for marketing and sales aspects
  • Highly data driven.
  • Understanding of different business disciplines (IT, finance etc.)
  • A leader with both creative and analytical capabilities
  • Outstanding communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal abilities
